COBRA Coverage Help

With the recent passage of the federal economic stimulus legislation (The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009), qualifying former employees who choose to extend their employer’s health coverage will receive much needed short-term assistance paying for COBRA benefits. Please contact your former employer for details about the coverage and assistance that may be available to you.

In Minnesota, there is an insurance program available for those with health conditions that regular insurance will not cover. If you have been turned down for insurance coverage in the private market because of your health, contact the Minnesota Comprehensive Health Association (MCHA) to see if you qualify for this program.
